PO14 · South Hampshire

Stubbington. Coast-adjacent.

Set back from the seafront, gardens here mix coastal exposure with more conventional Hampshire conditions.

Gardens here

Mix of older properties around the village core and modern estates spreading toward Hill Head and Lee. Family-scale gardens, partly sheltered from the worst of the coastal exposure but still salt-influenced on south-facing aspects. Plot sizes typically generous.

Working the area

Fifteen to twenty minutes from the studio. Frequent work in the broader Lee / Stubbington / Hill Head triangle.

Material decisions

Full studio palette with attention to salt exposure on south-facing aspects. Coastal-resistant planting where the garden sees the sea wind; conventional Hampshire palettes where shelter and aspect allow.

In practice

The studio archive doesn't yet feature a Stubbington project. Garden composition, Warsash 2025 is the nearest reference build for coastal-adjacent suburban work.
